Overview: Social Care Services
Almond Blossom Care is a domiciliary care agency that supplies care assistants to care and nursing homes, hospitals and independent living facilities, in order to supplement staff shortages where care services are needed. We understand that different clients have different needs, so we offer a wide range of services to assist customers with differing mental and physical characteristics.
They include people aged 18 and over, people with physical disabilities or sensory loss issues, the elderly, people suffering from Huntington’s disease, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s and dementia, and people with learning disabilities.
Although our staff members are trained to deal with many situations that often require specialised social care tailored to each client, we also ensure that our customers are treated the same. The care services we provide, then, reflect our values: dignity, privacy, equality and diversity, and safety.
Almond Blossom Care operates a 24 hour care service. We provide care assistants and support workers in a variety of shift patterns to aid with a large array of circumstances. Our experienced staff are always on hand and prepared to operate emergency shifts if necessary, so that you can receive the most appropriate care service possible.
We cover health and social care facilities in and around the Edinburgh areas, where the supply of care assistances and support workers may be needed.
FAQ’s
We provide high quality services for a wide range of clients, differing in terms of their physical and mental needs. Here are some of the most frequently asked questions relating to these services that Almond Blossom Care provides.
How do I organise a care service with Almond Blossom Care?
You can get in touch with a member of the Almond Blossom Care team through email or phone, to arrange an initial consultation, in which we’ll discuss your needs and find out how we can assist. The process will develop from that.
What if I need a shift covered and want to book in advance?
Our experience in the care sector has allowed us to understand that every so often the need for an emergency shift or sleepover arises, so we have staff on hand to meet your requests at any point in time. We also know that sometimes staff shortages happen, so we’re fully prepared to provide care workers at short notice to assist you.
What care will your staff team provide?
At Almond Blossom Care we provide you with every aspect of domiciliary care you need. Our staff are also prepared to assist with prompting and administrating medicines prescribed by the doctor and will also assist in collecting prescriptions from the pharmacy. A care plan is put in place to meet your individual needs and reviewed to reflect changes. Unfortunately, we wont be able to assist you with the administration of injections or specialised dressings because our services are based on social care.
What about ensuring that my personal safety is maintained?
Every single member of our specialist team has been through the process of Enhanced Disclosure and are members of the PVG Scheme, meaning they’ve been checked and deemed capable of working in the care sector. Our staff members have name badges endorsed by Almond Blossom Care, so they’re easily identifiable. The safety of our clients and our staff is very important to us, so we always make sure that neither are placed in situations that might put them at risk.
How long will your staff visit with me last?
Staff visits will happen according to the agreed times, which will be documented in your care plan – if there’s an emergency while our staff are caring for you or your loved one, contact will be made to the office team and a decision will be reached. You may require extended time due to a change in circumstances, and we’re more than happy to oblige if that’s the case. This applies to both our clients in care facilities and private individuals.
What is the cost of purchasing care service from Almond Blossom Care?
It will depend on the services you require and whether you are an individual in need of care or you run a facility and need emergency staff cover. We recognise the hardship and financial difficulties that individuals and organisations face when it comes to care services, which is why we place our client’s personal care needs first and ensure that you get more for your money’s worth. Our prices, therefore, are reasonable and affordable, all without reducing the high quality of the services we offer. This can be applied whether the payment for the care service is made by you or another source, like a local authority.
I use your services in a care facility. How do I pay?
We’ll send you an invoice at the end of each month. You have two payment options at your disposal: you can pay us by cheque or directly into your company’s account within 5 working days of the invoicing. Before we start our care services, we’ll agree upon the method of payment that is more suitable to you.
How can an individual customer make payment?
Almond Blossom Care will send you a weekly invoice, depending on your contract. If it is for the long term, we will invoice you or the person responsible for your care payment on the last day of every month. You can choose to pay us by cheque, directly into the company’s account or through direct debit. We’ll discuss your needs with you and agree to the payment method that works best for you.
How can I get in touch with Almond Blossom Care during out of work hours?
We operate 365 days of the year, and offer 24-hour, 7 days a week services. Even though our office hours are from 9am to 5pm, our telephone is always on, so don’t hesitate to call in an emergency requiring care services or shift coverage. A member of our team will always attend to your call.
